In recent years relations between Hungary and China has been developing with utmost dynamism resulting in the highest level and quality in history. Besides the deepened bilateral relations Hungary became a front-runner and essential player in China’s cooperation with the Central and Eastern European region and Europe as a whole. I can proudly consider myself and my colleagues at the Embassy important contributors to this achievement. It is my pleasure to support the progress of the Hungarian-Chinese relations as ambassador at such a prominent period.

Due to the coronavirus epidemic, an extraordinary legal order came into force in Hungary as of November 3, 2020, in accordance with the government's decision. The government has declared a state of emergency for the entire territory of Hungary in order to prevent the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic and to protect the health and lives of Hungarian citizens.

Announcement on Entry to China by Foreign Nationals Holding Valid Chinese Residence Permits of Three Categories
In view of the current COVID-19 situation and the need of epidemic prevention and control, adjustments are now made to the Announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Immigration Administration on the Temporary Suspension of Entry by Foreign Nationals Holding Valid Chinese Visas or Residence Permits issued on 26 March 2020.
